Bio

Fabrizio Fenech, a passionate visual storyteller, has long embraced filmmaking as a core avenue of artistic expression. Since his debut with the 2014 short film Obscure, where he served as co-writer, producer, director, and editor, Fabrizio has continued to establish his craft across various roles. His work on Obscure earned him a nomination for Best Local Director at the 2015 Malta Short Film Festival, marking an early recognition of his talent.

By 2021, Fabrizio embarked on a collaborative journey with director Keith Tedesco, tackling the editing of his first feature film ‘Uwijja’ (Whatever). The film achieved success with theatrical releases in Malta, festival selections, and VOD distribution. As the years progressed, Fabrizio continued to expand his presence in the film production realm, engaging in editing work, local narrative production and international documentary production as a Line Producer for "Nativity: The Art of Maltese Crib Making," an L.A production filmed in Malta.

Over the years, Fabrizio has contributed to a range of productions, including post-production assistance on Gladiator II and the production and editing of his second feature film, Serena, slated for release in 2024. His collaborative spirit is evident in projects such as Uwijja (Whatever), his first feature editing venture, which achieved success through theatrical releases in Malta, festival selections, and VOD distribution.

In 2024, Fabrizio founded his new film production company, ‘Roughcut Pictures,’ offering comprehensive post-production services and portraits by Fabrizio a personal portrait photography brand.

Looking ahead, Fabrizio’s upcoming projects include The Home Straight and Ciao Ciao, where he takes on roles as producer and editor. Additionally, he is set to direct a new short film titled Honour, Fame & Glory, further solidifying his dedication to impactful storytelling through film.
